At the end of year 2016 we visited Turracher Hohe, a place not too popular among Poles.
The place situated on the border of Styria and Carinthia has stunned us not only with its picturesque landscape but also a percfect snowpark.
Turracher Hohe is placed 1763 m above the sea level and its highest peak is on 2205 m. Thanks to its altitude the snow conditions stay good up to the end of April. Most of Polish people when going to Austria take Tirol as a target. Unfortunatelly, southern Austria still remains undiscovered for our fellow countrymen.
On a spot there are 42 km of slopes, neatly prepared snowpark shaped by Qparks Crew, funslope and a kidslope. Everything is served by 14 ski lifts. The resort offers many other leisure activities like night skiing, ice skating on Turracher See or hiking (there are 25km of trails).
The distance between Wrocław (or Katowice) and Turracher Hohe is only 700 km so the journey flows past quickly.

Wherever we go the focus of our attention is always snowpark. Here the park deserves the label of one of the top places we have ever been to. Its setup of features and kickers sprawls for about 1,5km and gives possibility of variation of lines for riders on all levels.
The bottom park situated among the trees is a real paradise for jibbers. You can find there 4m tank jib, quarterpipe flat rail, 7m tube rainbow, 8m down rail, 6m flat-down-flat tube rail, jib butterrail and many more.

To sum up, Turracher Hohe is definitely one of the best shred spots we’ve visited in Austria. Many thanks to the shapers crew for shredding with us and preparing the epic New Year’s party.
